Good news. The MAA are pleased to share content from the Optimal CRE Research Project November 2025 webinar and also an opportunity to be involved in future research offered through this project.

This recorded webinar bought together 110 attendees, including people living with myasthenia gravis, clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates to explore current and emerging approaches to immunoglobulin therapy in myasthenia gravis.

Delivered by the OPTIMAL NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in improving immunoglobulin use, in partnership with Myasthenia Alliance Australia, this session provided:

• An overview of myasthenia gravis and its impact
• Lived-experience perspectives from people affected by the condition
• Updates from a national research study focused on optimising the use of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) therapy
• Discussion of how patient preferences can shape future models of care

The webinar concluded with a panel discussion and audience Q&A.

These may include short surveys, discussion groups, or other opportunities to contribute to research that aims to improve care and health outcomes.
