Earlier diagnosis of Generalised Myasthenia Gravis through new unique subtle eye signs.

Myasthenia Gravis Eye Research
Suzann Beaupark is an Orthoptist with over 30 years of clinical experience, including specialising in identifying specific subtle disorders of eye movements to help with earlier diagnosis of illness like MG, MS, and Parkinson’s Disease. Since her generalised MG diagnosis in 2016 she has been working as an MG Research Orthoptist, combining her unique insight to improve diagnostics, and develop rehabilitation strategies.
Suzann’s research also includes reviewing historical literature and etymology, where her work traces misinformation, and translation errors in the literature since the late 1800’s. This miscommunication has contributed to common misunderstandings about MG lived experience, including how sensory symptoms like painful muscle heaviness, headaches, and dizziness are dismissed by many physicians even today.
In 2025, Suzann presented her research at the MGFA International Conference in The Hague, in the Netherlands in May, and, at the International Orthoptic Congress in Brisbane, in June, with both posters presented remotely due to MG exacerbations.
